Sometimes I think my head is so big because it is so full of dreams.John Merrick in Bernard Pomerance's The Elephant Man
I think it was just an act of kindness towards the man and his dog.
They were just being nice to the man because he looked elderly
i think he was just being nice because he was homeless and August's dad just thought that he needed the money.
I think Auggie's dad buy's the dog so the man that is sailing the dog will have one stomach to feed and he may be wants to give the homeless dog a home and the man some money to eat. I think it's just the author way of defining the character of Auggie's dad.
I think that the author chose this to show that Augast`s dad was thinking about more than just "hey $10 dog! What a deal!" He realized the man needed much more than just $10. There might be some deeper symbolizim that I couldn`t find because I`m not an analogy machine. Maybe I`ll know in 10 years.
I think the Dad felt so WOW when he saw Daisy and also he would be getting a dog and helping a person at the same time. So there would be symbolism in this action.
i think it was jsut an act of kindness
I think it was just the way of defining the character of the dad.
i think that this just shows how sincere auggies dad and his whole family is
Dad was being nice to the homeless man and dad really wanted daisy so he didn't even called mom to see if she approve with it
I think his dad was being nice and wanted a dog .
I think August's dad was really nice to do that. I think he knew that his kids would like he dog and he was probably being helpful to the guy. The guy could of not been able to eat because he was poor so that money could of bought him food.
I think this was an act of kindness because the man only wanted 10 dollars so Nate gave him 20 instead because he might was being helpful to the poor guy.
